The Halberd Gate served as a venue for the emperor to rest when weather conditions were bad during the God-worshipping events in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was changed into the meeting room for the CPPCC after 1949.
The Halberd Gate sits directly north of the Worship Hall, constructed on a brick-and-stone pedestal. It is five bays wide and two bays deep with a single-eave, gable-and-hip roof of yellow glazed tiles.
