The Hall for Ancestral Worship in the Forbidden City was the family temple for the imperial families during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Form

The front hall is 9 bays wide and 4 bays deep with a double-eave hip roof of yellow glazed tiles under which are xuanzi colored paintings decorated with gold lines.
