The Gate of Heavenly Purity Square is the entrance to the Inner Court. The Gate of Heavenly Purity is the main gate of the Inner Court. During the Qing dynasty, it served as a place for the emperor to handle state affairs, fast, and receive treasures.
The Gate of Heavenly Purity is 5 bays wide and 3 bays deep, with a single-eave gable-and-hip roof of yellow glazed tiles. Its grade is lower than the Gate of Supreme Harmony.
